Disney Cancels Raven’s Home But Spin-Off Alice in the Palace Offers New Chapter

Raven's Home

In a surprising twist, Disney has opted to close the door on Raven’s Home, with the popular comedy series not returning for a seventh season. However, this isn’t the last we’ll see of this beloved franchise, as a spin-off is already in the works.

Alice in the Palace will see Mykal-Michelle Harris reprise her role as Raven’s cousin, Alice, offering a unique take on the traditional tale of royalty and regular life swapping places.

Raven’s Home, a sequel to the hit series That’s So Raven, concluded its sixth season in September 2023, with star Raven-Symoné expressing her excitement about her new multi-year deal with Disney. This deal includes not just acting but also producing, directing, and development opportunities.

Symoné’s collaboration with Disney is set to continue for “many years”, according to Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, who praised the actor’s creativity and the impact Raven’s Home has had on its audience.

While fans may be disappointed that the original series has come to an end, the prospect of a spin-off offers a new chapter to explore, with a unique storyline that could attract both loyal fans and new viewers alike.

More details about Alice in the Palace are expected soon.
