GMA3: What You Need to Know, on Tuesday June 4, welcomes actors Tom Glynn-Carney, Ewan Mitchell, Harry Collett, and Bethany Antonia from the hit HBO series “House of the Dragon,” as well as Broadway star Juliana Canfield and cybersecurity expert Jen Easterly.
Glynn-Carney, Mitchell, Collett, and Antonia will discuss their roles in “House of the Dragon,” a “Game of Thrones” prequel set 200 years before the events of the original series. The show chronicles the members of House Targaryen before their bloody civil war, with Glynn-Carney portraying Aegon Targaryen, the first-born son of King Viserys, Mitchell playing Aemond Targaryen, the second-born son, Collett as Jacaerys Velaryon, the eldest son of Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Antonia in the role of Baela Targaryen, eldest daughter of Laena Velaryon.
Juliana Canfield, known for her roles in Succession and the Broadway play “Stereophonic,” will join the show to discuss her career and her recent Tony Award nomination for her performance in “Stereophonic.” “Stereophonic,” set in the 1970s, follows an unnamed five-member rock band in a California studio as they record their album, balancing artistic creation with personal friction. Canfield’s performance as Holly, a band member and keyboard player, earned her a Tony nomination, with critics praising her ability to convey emotional depth through “imploded, minimal responses” to her volatile bandmates.
Jen Easterly, the Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), will discuss her new public awareness campaign focused on educating children and parents on how to avoid online attacks. Easterly, a former U.S. Army intelligence and cyber operations officer, was nominated by President Biden and unanimously confirmed by the Senate for her current role, where she leads efforts to understand, manage, and reduce risks to America’s cyber and physical infrastructure.
