Good Morning America welcomes the winner of American Idol, alongside actress Anya Taylor-Joy and journalist Elizabeth Beller as guests on the show.

Abi Carter was crowned the winner of American Idol Season 22, marking the first female winner in four years. The 21-year-old from Indio, California, beat out fellow finalists Jack Blocker and Will Moseley. Carter impressed the judges and viewers with her powerful vocals and performance, earning her the coveted title.

Anya Taylor-Joy, known for her roles in “The Queen’s Gambit” and “Split”, stars in the upcoming film “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” The movie serves as a prequel to the 2015 film “Mad Max: Fury Road”, exploring the origin story of the renegade warrior Furiosa. Taylor-Joy takes on the titular role, previously portrayed by Charlize Theron, as she embarks on a journey to find her way home. The film also stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hardy, and Nicholas Hoult, and is set to release in theaters on May 24.
