Good Morning America on ABC on Monday April 29, welcomes Canadian actress Rachel McAdams and American actress Jean Smart to the show, along with the cast of Lifetime’s Dance Moms.

Rachel McAdams, known for her roles in Mean Girls and The Notebook, will discuss her recent Broadway debut in Amy Herzog’s play Mary Jane. McAdams, who gave birth to her second child in 2020, has also been busy with several film projects. She reprised her role as Dr. Christine Palmer in the Marvel film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and starred in the Netflix musical comedy Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. She also played the titular role in the film adaptation of Judy Blume’s beloved novel Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.

Jean Smart, who rose to fame with her role as Charlene Frazier in the sitcom Designing Women, has several upcoming projects. She will star in an end-of-life limited series, inspired by Kevin Hershey’s New York Times article “Love Letter: When My Grandmother Stopped Eating.” Smart will play a grandmother in the final months of her life, with her gay grandson as her reluctant caretaker. The actress is also set to appear in an Amazon Studios sci-fi romantic comedy called “42.6 Years,” in which she will play the ex-girlfriend of a man who prolongs his life by having his body frozen.

Good Morning America will also feature the cast of Lifetime’s Dance Moms, including JoJo Siwa, Chloé Lukasiak, Paige Hyland, Brooke Hyland, Kendall Vertes, and Kalani Hilliker. The reunion special, which will air on May 1, will see the cast take a look back at the show that made them household names. Notably absent from the reunion are Abby Lee Miller, Maddie Ziegler, Mackenzie Ziegler, and Nia Sioux.
