On Tuesday, May 14, Good Morning America welcomes actor Rob McElhenney, ABC News Multi-Platform Reporter Ike Ejiochi, and the bands Train and REO Speedwagon.
Rob McElhenney, an American actor, writer, producer, podcaster, and businessman, joins the show to discuss his role as co-owner of the Welsh football club Wrexham AFC and his Emmy Award-winning FX sports documentary series Welcome to Wrexham. McElhenney is known for his role as Ronald “Mac” McDonald on the long-running FX/FXX comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which he also co-created.
Ike Ejiochi, a broadcast and digital journalist based in the Tri-State area, joins the show to offer travel tips for Quebec on a budget. Ejiochi previously worked as a reporter for WTTG in Washington, covering significant stories such as the insurrection at the Capitol and the impact of COVID-19 on the community.
Train, an American pop-rock band from San Francisco, will perform during the show. The band, formed in 1993, has sold over 10 million albums and 30 million tracks worldwide, with hits such as “Meet Virginia,” “Drops of Jupiter,” and “Hey, Soul Sister.” Their latest single, “Long Yellow Dress,” was released in April 2024.
REO Speedwagon, an American rock band from Champaign, Illinois, formed in 1967. The band has sold more than 40 million records and charted 13 Top 40 hits, including the number ones “Keep On Loving You” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling.” They will join Train for a performance during the show.
