Sheryl Underwood, one of the hosts of CBS’s daytime talk show The Talk, will be stepping back into her first job as a teenager, working behind the counter at Pioneer Chicken. The show’s “First Jobs Week” will see each host on location, revisiting the first jobs they ever held.
Underwood, an American comedian, actress, and television host, first rose to prominence in the comedy world as the first female finalist in the 1989 Miller Lite Comedy Search. She joined the cast of The Talk in 2011 and has since become the show’s longest-running co-host.
Underwood was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and later moved to Atwater, California, where she attended high school. After graduating, she joined the United States Air Force, serving two years in the reserves. She gained recognition for her comedy while in the military and later became a well-known stand-up comedienne and actress.
The Talk features a panel of entertainment personalities, including Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, and Sheryl Underwood, who discuss current events, pop culture, family, celebrity news, and trending topics. The show includes celebrity guest interviews, musical performances, cooking segments, and human interest stories.
The Talk airs Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time Zone on CBS.
