ITV has acquired the rights to air ‘Slip‘, a US comedy series created, written, and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones. The seven-part series, produced by TeaTime Pictures and Boat Rocker, stars Lister-Jones as Mae Cannon, a 30-something woman who embarks on a journey of self-discovery through parallel universes.

‘Slip’ follows Mae Cannon, a 30-something woman who finds herself restless within a seemingly perfect marriage. When Mae has a one-night stand, she is transported to a parallel universe where she is married to her one-night stand partner. This marks the beginning of her journey through multiple parallel lives, each revealing new relationships and challenges. As Mae explores these alternate realities, she strives to find her way back to her partner and, ultimately, herself.

‘Slip’ premiered on The Roku Channel in the US on April 21, 2023, receiving positive reviews from critics. The series explores themes of love, identity, and self-discovery, with Lister-Jones noting that she wanted to “put a woman’s sexual pleasure at the center of a narrative”. The show has been praised for its humour, heart, and unique approach to storytelling, offering a fresh take on the multiverse concept.
