Kristen Wiig, Raye, Saturday Night Live, April 6, 2024, NBC
Saturday Night Live returns with a brand new episode, hosted by former cast member Kristen Wiig, who is set to take the stage for the fifth time. The episode, airing on NBC, Saturday, April 6, will feature British singer and songwriter Raye as the musical guest, marking her debut on the show.
The iconic sketch comedy series, now in its 49th season, has been a staple of late-night television, delivering laughter and memorable moments to viewers across the nation.
Wiig, a beloved alum, is known for her unforgettable characters and hilarious sketches during her time as a cast member from 2005 to 2012. She has since returned for several cameos, most recently appearing in the December 2023 episode hosted by Kate McKinnon, alongside fellow alum Maya Rudolph.
In addition to her work on SNL, Wiig has had a successful career in film and television. She has starred in blockbusters such as Bridesmaids, The Martian, Ghostbusters, and Wonder Woman 1984. Wiig is also starring in the Apple+ mini-series Palm Royale, alongside a stellar cast including Ricky Martin, Laura Dern, and Carol Burnett.
Musical guest Raye is a rising star in the music industry, known for her hit singles like “Call on Me” and “Secrets.” Her collaboration with David Guetta and Becky Hill, “Bed,” peaked at number three in the UK Singles Chart. Raye’s highly anticipated debut album, My Mind Makes Noises, is set to be released later this year.
