On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, ABC’s LIVE with Kelly and Mark welcomes actress Zendaya, plant-based cook and content creator Carleigh Bodrug, and singer-songwriter Craig David to the show.
Zendaya, a familiar face on both the big and small screens, joins the show to discuss her new movie, “Challengers.” Zendaya portrays Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned coach, in this romantic sports drama. The film follows Tashi as she helps her husband, a champion on a losing streak, attempt a comeback. However, their plan takes an unexpected turn when he has to face off against his former best friend and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend. Zendaya, who also served as a producer on the film, underwent an intensive three-month training regimen with pro-tennis coach Brad Gilbert to prepare for the role.
Carleigh Bodrug, the founder of PlantYou, a popular social media community centered on plant-based eating, will be sharing some of her plant-based and no-waste cooking recipes. Bodrug, a self-taught cook, began her journey towards a plant-based lifestyle after learning about the health and environmental implications of meat consumption. Her simple and approachable recipes have garnered a dedicated following, with her viral infographics attracting over 4 million followers across social media platforms. In addition to her online presence, Bodrug has authored multiple New York Times bestselling cookbooks, including “PlantYou: 140+ Ridiculously Easy, Amazingly Delicious Plant-Based Oil-Free Recipes” and “PlantYou Scrappy Cooking.”
Craig David, the British singer and songwriter, will also grace the stage with a performance. David rose to fame in 1999, featuring on the single “Re-Rewind” by Artful Dodger. His debut studio album, “Born to Do It,” was released in 2000, and he has since released six additional studio albums. David has had numerous UK top 40 singles and albums, selling over 15 million records worldwide. In addition to his musical success, David has ventured into television, appearing on shows like “The Big Narstie Show” and “The Graham Norton Show.” He has also been recognized for his contributions to the music industry, receiving an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours List in 2020.
