In the thrilling finale of Tournament of Champions, airing on Food Network, Sunday, 7 April, Guy Fieri gathers some of the world’s greatest chefs for an intense culinary showdown. The episode, titled “And the Winner Is…,” will see emotions run high as the chefs battle it out in the competition’s climactic conclusion.
The premise of the show revolves around a single-elimination, sudden-death, bracket-style culinary tournament, where the skills and abilities of the chefs are pushed to the limit. The pressure is intense, and the elite chefs face the challenge of not knowing their opponents or the tasks assigned by the dreaded Randomizer, a five-wheeled contraption that determines the ingredients, equipment, and cooking style for each cook-off.
The finale will feature two epic semifinal battles, with the winning chefs advancing to the ultimate head-to-head championship showdown. Their dishes will be judged by a panel of five culinary legends, and only one chef will emerge victorious, taking home the coveted Tournament of Champions belt and the largest cash prize in the show’s history—$150,000.
The competing chefs include a mix of seasoned veterans and talented newcomers from both the East and West Coasts. The East Coast chefs include Eric Adjepong, Karen Akunowicz, Kelsey Barnard Clark, Maneet Chauhan, and Dale Talde, among others. Representing the West Coast are Carlos Anthony, Shirley Chung, Mei Lin, Antonia Lofaso, and Lee Anne Wong, to name a few.
The judging panel for the finale includes some of the biggest names in the culinary world, such as Donatella Arpaia, Scott Conant, Cat Cora, Rocco DiSpirito, and Eric Ripert, among others.
Tournament of Champions has consistently been Food Network’s highest-rated series, attracting nearly 11 million viewers. The show’s combination of intense competition, culinary artistry, and unpredictable twists has captivated audiences nationwide.
