Season Two Premiere “House of the Dragon,” June 16, HBO and Max

The second season of the HBO Original drama HOUSE OF THE DRAGON, consisting of eight episodes, will premiere on Sunday, June 16 at 9:00-10:00PM ET/PT on HBO and will also be accessible for streaming on Max.

In this season, the realm of Westeros is teetering on the edge of a violent internal conflict, as the Green and Black Councils vie for power in support of King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. The contrasting viewpoints of the Green and Black factions are portrayed in trailers that depict two sides of the same tale, emphasizing the impending fracture of House Targaryen.

Adapted from George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series delves into the history of House Targaryen, set two centuries before the events of “Game of Thrones.”

Returning for the second season are actors like Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. New additions to the cast include Abubakar Salim, Gayle Rankin, Freddie Fox, Simon Russell Beale, Clinton Liberty, Jamie Kenna, Kieran Bew, Tom Bennett, Tom Taylor, and Vincent Regan.
