The self-titled syndicated talk show “Tamron Hall” has been renewed for a sixth season, airing in the 2024-25 season. The show, hosted and executive-produced by Tamron Hall, will continue its run on ABC’s local TV stations, as well as partner stations Hearst, Scripps, Nexstar, Tegna, Gray, and AMG.
Hall, a former anchor for MSNBC and NBC’s “Today” show, launched her talk show in 2019 after leaving NBC in 2017. The series has been a success for Disney, becoming the second-longest-running talk show produced by the company.
In a statement, ABC News President Kim Godwin praised the show’s impact: “Tamron and team are a singular force in daytime because the show gets to the core of humanity through meaningful connection and thoughtful conversations.”
The show has seen a surge in viewership this season, delivering 8.9 billion minutes viewed across linear television with total viewers. It currently ranks No. 3 out of nine one-hour syndicated talk shows. The show has also experienced significant growth in its digital presence, with a 25% increase in followers and a 148% increase in content engagement.
“Tamron Hall” has earned critical acclaim, receiving three Daytime Emmy nominations for season four, including Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host. This is the fourth consecutive season that Hall has been nominated in this category, winning twice. The show has also received two NAACP Image Awards nominations and a GLAAD Media Award nomination this season.
The series is known for its compelling interviews with influential figures, including Angela Bassett, Jeffrey Wright, Kenan Thompson, and Elizabeth Hurley. Hall’s commitment to addressing significant topics is evident in recent episodes covering weight loss drugs and the loneliness epidemic, featuring an interview with the U.S. Surgeon General.
