The Hotel Inspector returns with a new episode, featuring Chiltern’s View Lodges in Oxfordshire. In this instalment, host Alex Polizzi comes to the aid of Rachel, the owner of five luxury self-catering rural retreats nestled within 175 acres of farmland. Rachel, a farmer turned lodge owner, borrowed £350,000 to start her business a decade ago, but it is now haemorrhaging money and at risk of closure.
With just six weeks to turn things around, Alex works with Rachel to redefine her target market, expand her reach, reorganise the business, and refresh the lodges. Rachel, who has invested hundreds of thousands of pounds and ten years of her life into the business, is struggling to face the prospect of its failure.
The episode highlights the challenges faced by small business owners in the hospitality industry, showcasing the importance of adapting to the market and effective marketing. With Alex’s guidance, Rachel aims to create the luxury business she has always dreamed of.
