The Summit Returns to Channel 9 on May 12 for Season 2: Familiar Faces Take On the Challenge

The Summit is back for its second season, and this time, some familiar faces are taking on the challenge. This season, a new group of contestants will take on the challenge, including some familiar faces like ex-NRL star Mat Rogers, actress Olympia Valance, and former Bardot singer Tiffani Wood.

Hosted once again by Jai Courtney, the show will see the contestants attempt to conquer a mountain in New Zealand within 15 days. With their backpacks containing an equal share of the $1 million prize money, the contestants must work together to navigate dangerous terrain and harsh conditions.

The Summit is not just a test of physical endurance but also a game of strategy, trust, greed, and betrayal. With the slowest hiker setting the pace, contestants will have to make tough decisions. Will they slow down to help those who fall behind, or cut them loose to increase their chances of winning?

The 14 contestants taking part in The Summit Season 2 are:

– Lochie (31) – A dairy farmer from Tasmania, Lochie is no stranger to hard work and will be putting his endurance to the test on the show.

– David – A 59-year-old theatre director from Western Australia, David is one of the older contestants taking on the challenge.

– Mat Rogers (48) – Mat is a former NRL legend, having played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. He has also appeared on Australian Survivor, showcasing his strategic skills.

– Olympia Valance (31) – Olympia is an actress known for her roles in Neighbours and Playing for Keeps. She is ready to take on the rugged terrain and prove herself.

– Theo – A stay-at-home dad from Victoria, Theo is taking on a new challenge and will be putting his survival skills to the test.

– Tiffani Wood (46) – Tiffani is a former pop star and member of the group Bardot. She is now a devoted mother and is taking on a new adventure.

– Ava (29) – An aerospace engineer from Western Australia, Ava is sure to bring her problem-solving skills to the competition.

– Charlotte (35) – A nurse from New South Wales, Charlotte will be navigating the rugged terrain and wild weather.

– Ros (41) – A farmer from Queensland, Ros is used to the outdoors and will be a strong contender.

– Sharksey (30) – With the nickname “Sharksey,” this contestant will be one to watch. They will be navigating the challenges and pushing themselves to the limit.

– Taylor (28) – A wharfie from Victoria, Taylor is taking on a new adventure and will be facing their fears.

– Trisha (43) – A personal trainer from South Australia, Trisha is no stranger to physical challenges and will be putting her skills to the ultimate test.

– Simmone Jade Mackinnon (51) – Simmone is an actress known for her roles in Baywatch and McLeod’s Daughters. She is taking on a new kind of adventure and will be testing her limits.

– Phil (43) – Bali Bombing Survivor from Western Australia.

– Theo (49) – Stay-at-home Dad from Victoria.

The Summit will return for its second season on Sunday, May 12, at 7 p.m. on Channel 9 and 9Now. The show is produced by Nine Network and Endemol Shine Australia.
