The Wendy Williams Show To Be Canceled in June

TV News Just In

Producers have confirmed that Wendy Williams will not be returning in the foreseeable future and her self titled daily talk show will be canceled in June to be replaced by “Sherri” starring Sherri Shepherd who has already stood in several times for Williams.

Williams has had ongoing health issues that have kept her off air for several months and her show has been hosted by a rotating collection of celebrity guests.

Sherri” will air in the same timeslot as The Wendy Williams Show on the Fox owned stations that carry the Syndicated series.

Company co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said in a brief statement “Since Wendy is still not available to host the show as she continues on her road to recovery, we believe it is best for our fans, stations and advertising partners to start making this transition now.”
