Boyd, Q.C. (ITV 1956-1964, Michael Denison, Charles Leno)

Crime drama series Boyd, Q.C. detailed the cases of tough no nonsense barrister Richard Boyd (a perfect role for the debonair Michael Denison) who generally won the cases he took on.

Despite being a new show debuting on Christmas Eve, Boyd, Q.C. arrived with no fanfare at all as far as the TV Times was concerned.

The series ran for six season but there was a two year gap between season five ending on 17 August 1961 and season six beginning late 1963. Like many ITV series of the era it suffered somewhat from a lack of consistency by the various ITV regions when it came to showing the series.
