Brouhaha (BBC 1958, Peter Sellers, Lionel Jeffries)

This shortish little comedy was one of those regular at the time productions that was broadcast direct from the Theatre. In this the Aldwych in the West End of London. It wasn’t the full play just various funny scenes. Notable for the fact that it featured Peter Sellers in an increasingly rare stage role. Sellers quickly tired of the nightly performances and would do anything to get out of playing the material as written, much to the annoyance of his fellow cast members. Sellers was at the time just starting to make inroads into major stardom and was already proving to be a difficult character to work with.
