Doctor Terrible’s House Of Horrible (BBC-2 2001, Steve Coogan)

Doctor Terrible’s House Of Horrible was an anthology series of horror film spoofs in which Steve Coogan played a different character each week with a different supporting cast. Coogan also played the Donald Pleasence like Dr Terrible who opened and closed each show with a short piece to camera.

The six stories focused on Vampires, Fu Manchu, mad scientists, nightmares that come true, a voodoo curse and witchcraft.

Guest stars included Ben Miller, Ronni Ancona, John Thomson, Mark Gatiss, Simon Pegg, Julia Davis, Alexander Armstrong, Rosie Cavaliero, Oliver Tobias, Sheila Keith, Sarah Alexander, Jonathan Cake, Tim Pigott-Smith, Tom Bell, Warwick Davis, Julie T. Wallace and Angela Pleasence.
