Gathering Storm, The (BBC-2 2002, Albert Finney, Vanessa Redgrave)

Period drama The Gathering Storm told the story of the five-year period of Winston Churchill’s life leading up to the second world war when, as an out-of-favour and out-of-power politician, he was a voice alone warning the British people of the dangers of German rearmament. Albert Finney is superb as Churchill.
