Giselle (ITV Ballet, Rudolf Nureyev, Lynn Seymour)

19th century ballet Giselle is one of the best loved of all ballets, a blend of doomed romance and gothic horror. Lynn Seymour is Giselle the peasant girl who kills herself when her nobleman lover Albrecht (Rudolf Nuryev) betrays her. After death she becomes part of the Wilis, a spirit band of troubled girls who kill any man they come across in the dark of night.

Taking a major part in the production were members of the Ballet of the Bavarian State Opera.
