Good Omens (BBC-2-Amazon 2019, David Tennant, Michael Sheen)

Published

on

Good Omens, based on the superbly funny Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman novel of the same name, is set in the present day and is essentially about nature over nurture. According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter Witch (which just happens to be the world’s only completely accurate book of prophecies), the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner.

Unfortunately The Antichrist was swapped at birth and has grown up living a nice normal life in the perfect village. Caught in the middle of events are Aziraphale, an Angel and Crowley, a demon.

The series will air first on Amazon Prime before being broadcast on BBC Two. Filming locations include Oxfordshire, London and South Africa.
