Horne A’plenty (ITV 1968-1969, Kenneth Horne, Graham Stark)

Sketch show based on the popular radio show Round the Horne starring Kenneth Horne and featuring Graham Stark, Sheila Steafal, Ken Parry, Alan Curtis and in season 2 Donald Webster. Writers included Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke, Geoff Rowley and Andy Baker, Michael Green and Donald Webster. Season one which was made by ABC was not fully networked. Horne’s radio material had often been slightly near the knuckle (especially the two infamous Julian and Sandy characters as played on radio by Kenneth Williams and Hugh Paddick) but this tv version didn’t quite recapture the magic.
