Very popular and long running family drama series about a Norwegian-American family living in San Francisco at the beginning of the twentieth century, with the shows taking the form of stories of the family told by daughter Katrin looking through a photo album.
After finishing in Prime time the public wanted more and so it carried on for awhile on Sunday afternoons (until March 1957).
The series is also known as I Remember Mama and is based on a book that was also turned into a 1948 Irene Dunne movie.
