I Woke Up One Morning (BBC-1 1985-1986, Frederick Jaeger, Michael Angelis)

Sitcom I Woke Up One Morning told of the problems of a group of alcoholics in a drying out clinic. In a sense it was the sitcom that Carla Lane had been edging towards for some time. Each of her series getting that little bit darker in tone and there is certainly not much in the way of humour in the situation here.
