Get Real (ITV 1998, Lindsay Duncan, Lloyd Owen)

Sitcom Get Real detailed the relationships of a group of thirtysomethings. The four were Adam and Louise, who was also his landlady as well as his friend. Adam’s friend Lestor and Lestor’s girlfriend Francine made up the quartet.

Despite being no better or worse than any other new sitcom on the air at the time, Get Real came in for a lot of criticism. This was most likely because critics felt it was too much of a slavish copy of an American format.
