Incredible Adventures Of Professor Branestawm, The (BBC-1 2014, Harry Hill, Ben Miller)

Harry Hill makes his acting debut for BBC One in The Incredible Adventures of Professor Branestawm. Adapted by actor and author Charlie Higson from Norman Hunter’s brilliant and hilarious classic children’s books.

Harry plays Professor Branestawm, the original mad professor, an absent-minded inventor who is oblivious to the chaos his harebrained creations cause when they go wrong, which they always do. If it weren’t for the efforts of his long suffering housekeeper, Mrs Flittersnoop, and his dim but loyal best friend, Colonel Dedshott, the professor would long ago have blown himself to smithereens.

Set in the picturesque English landscape of days gone by, the hour long special sees local schoolgirl Connie, come to the professor’s rescue when evil businessman Mr Bullimore and local Councillor Harold Haggerstone unite to have Branestawm kicked out of the village as a dangerous menace.
