It’s Adam And Shelley (BBC Comedy, Adam Longworth, Shelley Longworth)

Brother and sister comedy acts have been generally thin on the ground over the years but it is clear to see that siblings Adam and Shelley have been honing their own act their whole lives. It’s your standard sketch show with returning characters ala Little Britain and it taps into that same slightly off kilter vibe that the best sketch comedy has.

Key characters included the Goth brother and sister who are desperate to try and annoy their Dad, the highly glamorous Chelsea Sheraton whose pet is a real life Sumo wrestler; A pair of car boot salers who have some very interesting items for sale indeed – including the Holy Grail and The Turin Shroud. The Lord of the Rings Orc living in Suburbia and a pair of funeral parlour employee who can’t stand working with each other.

The Monkey send up is particularly funny, especially when the characters break into a rendition of Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy.
