Ten From The Twenties was an anthology series that adapted well known short stories from writers such as Aldous Huxley, D.H. Lawrence, Hugh Walpole and Elizabeth Bowen plus lesser known authors like Sheila Kaye-Smith, G.B. Stern and Stacy Aumonier.
The adapters included William Corlett, Robert Muller, Jack Pulman, Fay Weldon, Peter Wildeblood and the actor Leslie Sands (who wrote for quite a few shows in the seventies).
The casts were quite high profile and included Angharad Rees, Clive Francis (who appeared in the first episode Mr Oddy also starred in Poldark together the same year as this), Rachel Gurney, Lesley Anne-Down, Michael Johnson, Jeremy Brett, George Chakiris, Jack Watling, Eleanor Bron, Polly James, Cheryl Hall, John Duttine, John Hurt and Billie Whitelaw.
