Antiques Road Trip Today Thursday 22 September 2022 on BBC One
What’s happening on Antiques Road Trip Today Thursday 22 September on BBC One; The third leg of our swirling Road Trip takes in even more of Yorkshire with auctioneers Charles Hanson and Natasha Raskin Sharp. The 1932 Riley, the oldest vehicle to have ever appeared on the show, is providing them with comfort as they travel from Yorkshire’s east to west.
Charles creates more commotion by opening clogged drawers, playing cricket in a store, and donning fireman’s hats. However, he finds a his-and-hers item in a pair of Edwardian perfume bottles, continuing his Georgian obsession with a unique perfume phial. However, his biggest wager is an expensive art deco light fixture. Will his plan pay off at the auction? The humble Yorkshire pud is the perfect local delicacy to chow down on after all that shopping. Charles learns that this golden turret of baked goodness has Georgian roots.
With a dirt-cheap 19th-century wine glass and a stylish pair of Danish mid-century candle holders, Natasha fulfils her goal of purchasing high-quality items at low prices. In the extremely delicate setting of an antiques shop, Natasha is more than able to control an unruly Charles while our good friends giggle their way from Beverley to Bradford. Natasha makes time to travel to Leeds, where a brilliant Frenchman is thought to have invented the first moving picture, 50 years before Thomas Edison and the Lumiere Brothers.
Will Natasha be successful in Yorkshire and stop Charles from winning?
