Ashes To Ashes Season Three Episode Five (BBC-1 30 Apr 2010)

With just four episodes left, including this one, events are racing towards a very exciting conclusion. Gene and Alex find themselves wondering just why two of Gene’s former colleagues are on their patch.

D.C.I. Litton and D.I. Bevan have arrived in search of Northern comic Frank Hardwick who has diddled the Police Widoes Fund out of two grand but Alex is convinced the two detectives are holding something back; For Gene though it is more about proving that he is better than Litton and Bevan and is determined to bring Frank in himself, even going so far as to plant some evidence on him!

There is much of interest in this episode not least a fab performance from the legendary Roy Hudd as Frank Hardwick. It’s also building towards bringing Ashes and Life on Mars together completely as Alex begins to dig deeper into the whereabouts of Sam Tyler.
