Gethsemane Brown (Tamera Mowry-Housley), formerly an orchestra conductor, has relocated to rural Ireland to teach music at St. Brendan’s College. A meeting with the composer Eamon McCarthy (Richard Cooper), who is suspected of being involved in the death of his longtime love, occurs after she decodes a musical message. Eamon is a ghost, which only adds more confusion. In order to move on and be with his true love in the afterlife, Eamon enlists Gethsemane’s assistance in locating the true perpetrator.

Gethsemane investigates with the ghost of Eamon in tow, but she runs into resistance from the affable Inspector O’Reilly (Adam Fergus), who likes her but thinks the case is closed. Meanwhile, Gethsemane struggles to mold the misfits at St. Brendan’s into a choir that can compete at Regionals, with the help of a dashing math teacher named Griff (Marco Grazzini), who is also involved in her investigation. Gethsemane seems to have only a slim chance of survival when her investigation brings her close to a solution for Eamon’s case.
