High-end caterer Mrs. Sidhu (Meera Syal, The Kumars at No. 42, The Split, The Devil’s Hour) has a penchant for criminal activity – solving it that is. Her investigative skills—an instinct for the truth, a warmth with people, and an indefatigable sense of nosiness—have been honed over a lifetime as an Indian Aunty, during which she was largely invisible to Berkshire’s elite.

Mrs. Sidhu, a widow, has taken up a new career in the catering industry while also dishing out justice to those who think they are above the law. As a result of her forays into the criminal underworld, she forms an unofficial partnership with jaded divorcee DCI Burton (Craig Parkinson, Line of Duty), who eventually comes to the realization that the two of them make an unstoppable crime-fighting duo.
