Survivor UK Meet The Contestants – Richard

Survivor UK Meet The Contestants - Richard

Survivor UK premieres soon on BBC One so what better time to meet the contestants: Richard is 36 from Dalkeith, Scotland and is a Pensions Manager / RAF Reservist.

Richard decided to become a contestant on Survivor because he is always seeking new challenges. The show provided him with the opportunity to push himself both physically and mentally. He believed that he could bring several qualities to the game, including strong communication skills, the ability to work well in a team, and empathy towards others.

In order to prepare himself for the show, Richard focused on both mental and physical training. Mentally, he considered himself to be a resilient person, so he felt that life had already prepared him to handle the challenges that would come his way. Physically, he engaged in various activities such as hiking the Scottish Munro’s, running, going to the gym, and swimming.

When it came to his strategy for playing the game, Richard aimed to position himself in the middle of the pack. He wanted to be aware of opportunities that could be advantageous for him, all while enjoying the game and the overall experience. As a highly competitive individual, his goal was always to win.

He was excited about all the challenges that awaited him on the show. He looked forward to being tested in different ways and pushing himself to his limits. Living on a beach with no home comforts was not a concern for him, as he had previous experience with this type of lifestyle. Similarly, although hunger was initially a struggle, he got used to it. It was an amazing experience and one that not very many people will get the chance to do. Richard’s biggest takeaway is that he is more resilient than he thought.
