In this episode of American Idol, airing on ABC, Sunday, 7 April, viewers will witness the Top 24 contestants perform at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii. The episode marks the first of two episodes filmed at the resort.

The show, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, will feature performances by the Top 24 contestants, with half of them taking the stage in this episode. The remaining 12 contestants will perform in the following week’s episode.

Tori Kelly, a Grammy-winning artist, joins the judging panel alongside Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan. Kelly, who previously served as a guest mentor in Season 10, will mentor the contestants and perform her new single, “Play It Safe.”

The episode will also include a performance by reigning American Idol Iam Tongi, who will sing his new single, “If I Could Only Fly.”

Then on Monday the seventh episode, “Showstopper/Final Judgment,” aired on April 1, 2024, and saw the competition intensify during the final showcase round. The judges, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie, evaluated the top 56 contestants, narrowing them down to the Top 24 semifinalists. This episode marked a significant milestone as the contestants performed for both the judges and a live audience, raising the stakes even further.

The episode featured a diverse range of performances, with contestants singing their hearts out to impress the judges and secure their spot in this next round at the Aulani Disney Resort in Hawaii.
