Call The Midwife Series 12 Australian FTA Premiere, 15 April, ABC TV
Call the Midwife Season 12 will premiere on ABC TV in Australia this April, following its earlier release on Pay TV in January 2023.
The familiar faces of nuns and nurses from Nonnatus House return to share more tales of midwifery and family life in 1960s East London.
Set in 1968, tensions rise in Poplar due to Enoch Powell’s controversial “Rivers of Blood” speech, particularly when a group of dockers show support for Powell through a march. Amongst these events, the midwives welcome a new nun, Sister Veronica, who quickly becomes popular with everyone except Nurse Crane. Trixie’s romance with Matthew flourishes, Nurse Crane assists Nancy with her financial struggles, and Sister Julienne remains dedicated to serving the district.
Shelagh and Dr. Turner juggle their time between a bustling maternity home and their lively family, while Reggie continues to bring happiness into the lives of Violet and Fred. Don’t miss the premiere on Sunday, 14 April 2024 at 7:30 PM on ABC, with all episodes also available on iview for streaming.
