Network announces premiere dates and special editions of award shows for the warmer months.
CBS has announced its summer schedule, with a mix of new and returning series, as well as special editions of award shows. The season kicks off with the network debut of “Tulsa King,” starring Sylvester Stallone, on Sunday, July 14, at 8:00-9:00 PM. The series, which originally premiered on Paramount+, follows the story of New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi, played by Stallone, as he navigates exile in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Following “Tulsa King” is the season 26 premiere of the long-running reality TV juggernaut “Big Brother” on Wednesday, July 17, at 9:00-10:00 PM, and Thursday, July 18, at 9:00-10:00 PM. This season promises new twists and turns, with a group of all-new contestants vying for the grand prize. “Big Brother” will then air three nights a week, on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, at 9:00-10:00 PM, with live evictions.
Wednesday nights continue with the new true-crime series “The Real CSI: Miami,” produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Anthony Zuiker, premiering on June 26 at 10:00-11:00 PM. Each episode will delve into real-life crime cases, showcasing the cutting-edge forensic science used by investigators to solve them.
Also joining the Wednesday night lineup is “Let’s Make a Deal Primetime,” premiering on August 7 at 8:00-9:00 PM. This season will feature special episodes, including “Ultimate Zonk Redemption” and “Otter Chaos,” with host Wayne Brady celebrating his 15th anniversary.
The summer schedule also includes award show specials, with “The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” airing on Friday, June 7, at 8:00-10:00 PM, and “The 77th Annual Tony Awards,” airing live on Sunday, June 16, at 8:00-11:00 PM ET/5:00-8:00 PM PT.
