The award-winning docuseries Couples Therapy will return to Paramount+ and Showtime for a fourth season on Friday, May 31, 2024. The season will comprise nine episodes, with two new episodes airing weekly on Sundays from June 2 onwards.
Couples Therapy offers viewers an authentic and visceral experience of therapy, showcasing the real-life struggles and breakthroughs of four couples as they navigate their relationships. The show features acclaimed psychoanalyst Dr. Orna Guralnik, who guides the couples through their conflicts and breakthroughs.
In the first instalment of season four, Dr. Guralnik engages with four new couples: a polyamorous trio navigating power dynamics and hidden resentments; newlyweds negotiating religion and sex after cutting ties with the mother of one partner; a young couple trying to live together for the sake of their child despite constant fighting; and a complicated case of a man with multiple identities struggling with dissociation.
The entire first season of Couples Therapy will be available for free streaming on various platforms from April 30 to May 31, 2024. Season two is also currently airing on MTV, with episodes available on streaming platforms for Paramount+ subscribers.
The docuseries has garnered critical acclaim, winning the Television Critics Association (TCA) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming in 2021 and the American Cinema Editors Award for Best Edited Non-Scripted Series in 2024. The series has also received additional award nominations from prestigious organisations, including the International Documentary Association and the Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards.
