Tracker, Into the Wild Recap (April 28, CBS)
In the latest episode of Tracker, titled “Into the Wild,” the action-packed series delivered another tense installment, taking viewers deep into the wilderness of Idaho as Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) embarked on a mission to find a missing plane and its occupants.
The episode, which aired on CBS on Sunday, April 28, 2024, began with Colter taking a run in the forest and a subsequent surprise from Reenie (Fiona Rene), who requested his help in tracking a missing plane owned by her father’s friend, Gus (Gil Birmingham). With his fee assured, Colter set out on the mission, parachuting into the wilderness to begin his search.
As Colter explored the debris field, he discovered that the plane had gone off course and crashed during a storm. He found no bodies inside but spotted tracks leading away from the site. He soon located the body of a man named Walter, who had been shot. Colter learned from Reenie that Walter was a client on the plane and that Gus’s son, Hank, and daughter, Madison, were also on board.
Reenie’s instincts proved correct as she encountered a strange man, later identified as Voltz, inquiring about Walter at Gus’s office. Colter, with his military-style training, followed tracks from the crash site and found Madison, who had a broken arm. He tended to her injury and learned that Walter had diverted the plane’s path and was smuggling something.
The investigation took a dangerous turn as Voltz, injured by Gus, stole Gus’s plane and headed in Colter’s direction. A race against time ensued, with Colter and Madison making their way to the ranger station, where they encountered Voltz holding them at gunpoint. Colter’s quick thinking saved Madison, but both men sustained gunshot wounds.
The episode concluded with Colter and Reenie reuniting and heading toward Hank and Walter’s probable location. They arrived at Pinewood, where they discovered Walter and another man dead. Colter followed a blood trail to an unlocked cabin, where he found Hank and managed to take down Voltz, putting an end to the threat.
With the mission accomplished, Gus offered Colter and Reenie a weekend fishing trip as a reward.
