French Comedy “Fiasco” Premieres April 30 on Netflix
Premiering on Netflix on April 30, 2024, “Fiasco” is a French comedy series that takes viewers behind the scenes of a chaotic film set. Created, written, and directed by Igor Gotesman, and co-created and co-written by Pierre Niney, the show is a hilarious journey into the world of filmmaking.
The series follows aspiring director Raphaël Valande (played by Pierre Niney), who is shooting his first feature film to pay tribute to his heroic grandmother, a resistance fighter and war hero. However, his dream quickly turns into a nightmare as a saboteur on the set causes a series of mishaps and disasters.
The cast includes a host of talented French actors and actresses, including François Civil, Géraldine Nakache, Pascal Demolon, Leslie Medina, Louise Coldefy, Djimo, Juliette Gasquet, and Marie-Christine Barrault. The series is co-written by Nicolas Slomka and Tania Gotesman, with music composed by Paul-Marie Barbier and Julien Grunberg.
“Fiasco” premiered at the Canneseries Festival on April 8, 2024, and will be available for streaming on Netflix starting April 30. The show consists of seven 35-minute episodes, with a mix of comedy and mockumentary that captures the chaos and humor of filmmaking.
