On Tuesday, April 30, Good Morning America welcomes Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson, who portray the Doctor and his companion, Ruby Sunday, in the BBC’s long-running science fiction series “Doctor Who.” The pair will discuss their roles in the show’s upcoming fourteenth series, which wrapped filming in April 2024.
Gatwa, a Scottish actor known for his role in “Sex Education,” will play the Fifteenth Doctor, taking over from Jodie Whittaker. In the new series, he and Gibson will travel back to the 1960s, sporting 60s-style outfits and meeting The Beatles. Gibson, who rose to fame as a teenager on the ITV soap opera “Coronation Street”, will become the youngest companion in the show’s history.
The episode will also feature bestselling author Ana Huang, who will discuss her latest release, “King of Sloth,” the fourth book in her “Kings of Sin” series. The book follows the love story of Xavier Castillo and Sloane Kensington. Xavier, a charming and easygoing billionaire, finds himself drawn to Sloane, his publicist, despite her being the only woman immune to his charms. Chef Rocco DiSpirito will also join the show to share recipes from his new cookbook, “Everyday Delicious.” DiSpirito, a James Beard Award-winning chef and #1 New York Times bestselling author, offers simple and flavorful recipes that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less. “Everyday Delicious” is inspired by DiSpirito’s own experience during the pandemic, when he rediscovered the joy of cooking and savoring weekday meals with his family and friends.
