National Geographic Explores the “Secrets of the Octopus” on Sunday April 21
National Geographic presents “Secrets of the Octopus“, a three-part documentary series that premieres on April 21, 2024. The series, narrated by award-winning actor Paul Rudd, unveils the extraordinary world of octopuses, highlighting their unique characteristics and behaviors.
Octopuses, with their three hearts, blue blood, and remarkable ability to squeeze through tight spaces, are likened to aliens on Earth. The series delves into their one-of-a-kind superpowers, advanced intelligence, and secret social lives. It showcases their tool usage, shape-shifting abilities to mimic other animals, and even their capacity to communicate with different species.
Produced by National Geographic and Disney+, in association with SeaLight Pictures, the series features stunning visuals captured by cinematographer Richard Woody Spark and associate producer Harriet Spark. The crew traveled to multiple international locations to film these fascinating creatures and their diverse environments.
“Secrets of the Octopus” joins National Geographic’s acclaimed “Secrets of” franchise, offering viewers an insightful and intimate look at the weird and wonderful world of these intelligent cephalopods.
Secrets of the Octopus airs Sunday April 21, 2024 at 8.00pm on National Geographic.
