Nolly Series Finale, March 31, 2024, PBS

The third and final episode of the mini series Nolly, based on the true story of British soap star Noele “Nolly” Gordon, airs on Sunday March 31st at 9:00pm on PBS. Episode 3 takes us through the later stages of Nolly’s life and career.

In 1978, Noele “Nolly” Gordon (superbly played by Helena Bonham Carter) wins the Hall of Fame award, though some believe the award’s creation was to give others a chance, as Nolly seemingly snagged it every year.

Following her departure from the popular soap opera Crossroads, Nolly’s life takes a difficult turn. She returns to the stage, taking on one of theatre’s most challenging roles. Her past haunts her, and doubts creep in as she questions her abilities.

To make matters worse, she’s riddled with self-doubt following her brutal firing from Crossroads and struggles to shake the rumours surrounding her departure.

Nolly’s personal life is also under scrutiny. Her love life is non-existent following her long-term relationship with Val Parnell, and she faces mockery from coworkers who tease her about being single. In a moment of vulnerability, Nolly opens up about her past and reveals the truth about her sacking from Crossroads.

However, redemption could be on the cards. Nolly is offered an opportunity to reprise her role on Crossroads. Will she return to the set, and can she put the past behind her?
