The Proof Is Out There: Military Mysteries takes viewers on a journey into the world of unresolved military mysteries. In the episode “Ghost Armies; Missing Pilot; Lost Bomber; Inside the A-130,” airing on History on April 22, combat veterans and former military intelligence analysts, Rudy Reyes and Ronnie Adkins, unravel the truth behind some of the most intriguing military mysteries.
The series focuses on the modern history of war, spanning World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, the Gulf War, and the conflicts of the 21st century. Each episode looks into a range of enigmatic topics, including ghost planes, MIA service members, propaganda hoaxes, and exploding battleships.
In this premiere episode, Reyes and Adkins explore three intriguing stories. The first involves the disappearance of Lt. Cmdr. Scott Speicher, the only U.S. Navy aviator shot down during the Gulf War, whose fate remained a mystery for years. The second story examines the Mossad, Israel’s intelligence service, and their alleged assassination of a Palestinian businessman in 2010, questioning whether Hamas framed the agency for its political gain. The third mystery revolves around a Soviet biological weapon released on its citizens, leaving viewers to question if it was accidental or intentional.
Rudy Reyes, a veteran Recon Marine with an impressive list of military expertise, including close-quarters combat and scout sniper missions, brings his extensive knowledge to the show. He is known for his roles in HBO’s “Generation Kill” and various survival shows. Joining him is Ronnie Adkins, an Army intelligence analyst with multiple deployments to Afghanistan, who is also the director of strategic partnerships at Funker530, a prolific online combat footage repository.
Together, Reyes and Adkins combine their military experience and expertise to shed light on some of the most puzzling military mysteries. Through their investigations, they aim to provide insights and answers to questions that have long intrigued military historians, researchers, and investigators.
The Proof Is Out There: Military Mysteries airs on History at 10.03 pm on Monday, April 22, 2024.
