Lorenzo Lamas stars as Rio Arnett, the tough, heroic leader of the Air America team stationed on Costa Perdida in the South American country Buenaventura. Communications specialist and electronic wizard Wiley Ferrell (Scott Plank) served as Rio’s devoted sidekick. Smart and sexy, ambitious Alison Stratton (Diana Barton) reluctantly depended on Air American protection, while fighting her romantic attraction to Rio.
Arnett used the base to cover his activities as a member of the O.S.I (the Office of Strategic Implementation, a US government anti-crime agency).
Based on the movie of the same name from 1990 that starred Mel Gibson. Lamas studied martial arts for over 15 years, specializing in Ju Jitsu and Taekwondo so was something of a natural in the action scenes.
