Freddie And Max (ITV Sitcom, Anne Bancroft, Charlotte Coleman)

Short lived ITV sitcom Freddie and Max saw young Freddie Latham (Charlotte Coleman) get a job as personal assistant to fading middle aged American actress Maxine Chandler (Anne Bancroft).

Max, as she is known is living at the Sovoy Hotel whilst she is writing her autobiography. Her best days are behind her but she doesn’t think so of course. Malcolm Parkes (Richard Pearson) was Max’s London agent.

Writing legends Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais scored something of a coup in getting Hollywood royalty Anne Bancroft involved.
