Oh, Happy Band! (BBC One Sitcom, Harry Worth, John Horsley)

Short lived sitcom Oh, Happy Band! starred Harry Worth, pretty much playing his usual exaggerated version of himself, as the leader of a small village brand band.

Harry Worth was getting to the end of his career here, in fact Oh, Happy Band! was his last TV credit (he died in 1989) and it is for sure one of David Croft’s lesser known series, he co-wrote here with Jeremy Lloyd and Croft also produced. Their next effort Allo, Allo faired slightly better.
