The Alchemists was a two part Thriller serial made for Channel 5 and broadcast in 1999. Edward Hardwicke headlined as Dr Richard Bannerman, with Ruth Gemmell as his daughter Julia.
The story sees American Connor Molloy (Grant Show) posing as a patents lawyer to investigate the pharmaceutical company Bentik-Lange who he believes was responsible for the death of his father. Molloy teams up with Julia, daughter of scientist Dr Richard Bannerman, to get at the truth.
