Dan Snow explores Egypt’s Valley of the Kings, learning the tales of European explorers who went looking for treasure in this long-forgotten chasm in the desert. He reveals the exploits of eccentric engineer Giovanni Belzoni, who removed pharaoh statues, conflicts that arose between teams of explorers searching for long-lost treasures throughout Europe, and the tale of the valley’s most well-known find—Howard Carter’s discovery of Tutankhamun’s Tomb.
