What can we expect from this episode
The volunteer crews of the RNLI not only drop everything when the pager sounds, but also train regularly so that they are prepared to respond immediately.
When a young man loses consciousness after a jet ski accident in Calshot, the crew’s medical training is put to the ultimate test. While this is going on, Jon, the permanent coxswain in Dover, must use all of his knowledge to save two fishermen from being washed off a pier.
New Brighton and Hoylake crews must work together to rescue a man who has become trapped in the mud as the tide rises. In addition, the crew in Hartlepool must deal with an unusual obstacle when they are tasked with retrieving a chihuahua and its owner who have become separated while paddling out to sea.
Documentary following the men and women of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
