Bill of Divorcement, A (RKO 1932, Katharine Hepburn, John Barrymore)
Katharine Hepburn makes her screen debut in A Bill of Divorcement as the coltish young woman who comes to know the stranger who is her father. John Barrymore is quite moving as a man released from a mental institution back to the care of his wife (Billie Burke) and daughter.
Katharine Hepburn went on to star in nine more films for director George Cukor, including the classics Little Women (1933), Holiday (1938) and Adam’s Rib (1949).
